A tangled piece is considered ‘stacked’ when the tangle patterns are created one on top of the other, or side by side. A series of lines is the string, and the lines themselves can be straight, curvy, wavy, or any combination. Stacked tangles are great when you don’t want to think too much about the string before you start, or when you want to try out different tangle patterns and shading in this format. Can you do a stacked monotangle? Of course!
